Homecoming is in like 3 weeks and there's this girl I IM'd for 6 months, haven't in over a month. But she dropped a lot of hints that she might like me. Well I made the huge mistake of never saying a word to her irl over probably 100's of opportunities including a few just this weeken. But I feel like if I start talking to her now I won't able ago get to a point where it won't be weird for me to ask her to homecoming

The only good answer here is that you won't know until you try. Yes, it was a small mistake not to talk to her for a month. That happens, we all make mistakes. But if you like her then you need to try. No one ever gets points for not trying!

Go talk to her. Make it known you are still interested and then drop the hint about going to homecoming!
