Parents too lenient

Sometimes, I think that my parents are too lenient!
I know, most would think that that would be awesome, but for me it has become a little odd!
My mother and father both have great jobs. They usually leave at about 5-6 am to go to work and are usually not home until about 5-6 pm.
I am currently home schooled by my live in aunt, and she does have strict limitations on what I do, and my parents also make sure that she (my aunt) get me my daily lessons. But those aren't very long and I actually have a lot of free time, which I spend with my BF before he goes to work! My aunt is also very lenient!
Of course, my parents always ask me how my day was and all that stuff over dinner on the nights that I am there for dinner (on dance class nights, I get a ride with my BF to my friend's house and her mother takes us both o dance and drops me off at home).
They do come to all of my dance recitals, but I don't know! It just seems so weird that I can get away with so much and they don't really get upset!

Secondly , my parents and yours are very different !! I wish I could be like you , because I go almost everywhere with them :(
Maybe , you live in a small town , and that's why your parents are so lenient , but I live in a huge city , and my school is away from my house , so my mother takes me there in our car everyday ...
So , don't worry , you're very lucky !!

I have lenient parents, when I was young there whapere strict, but as I got older and became more independent they alowed me to get away with and do more, there days they just let me do my own thing.
In my opinion that's how a kid should be raised.

Why are you complaining that your parents grant you leniency? Isn't that something to be thankful for and really happy about? Just sounds like they trust you; which is a good thing. My parents have been the opposite: controlling my game time, supervising me, and washing me, in the bath til I was 7, the list goes on. Enjoy what you have

My parents make me borrow my own phone from myself because they think that i am on it too often. I get to borrow it from myself for an hour a day. Pretty fucked up imho

Having parents who don't give a shit about you enough to be interested in anything you do isn't as fun as you make it sound.

I would trade my parents for control freaks who are always managing my life anytime. I would love to have parents who care that much about me.

I guess you do not know many other teens - or you would find for sure many lenient parents - liberal parents etc

A year ago my paremts would kill md for drinking a beer and now they're letting me have a little drink now and then. Not with them but with friends.
