Recently, I decided, well my friend decided for me, that I needed a way better computer. I had an old HP computer that weighed a ton, and it just wasn't cutting it. So basically, I went on Newegg and he pointed me in the right direction. At the end of the day I had bought a case, a motherboard, a cpu, a power supply, and an led lighting kit because he said it'd look cute. The following Wednesday, the computer started to fall into place.

The case is a mid atx white NZXT S340 with a matte black finish internals, two NZXT 120mm fans, and two USB 3.0 ports ($69.99)

The motherboard is an Asus Z97M-Plus with both USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports ($126.99)

The Cpu is an Intel Pentium G3258 Dual Core 3.2ghz ($69.99)

The Power Supply is a SeaSonic M12II 520W ($66.99)

And the LED kit is produced by NZXT. ($13.98)

$389.99 (including shipping) and an empty bank account later, my computer was ready.

My computer was also fitted with Corsair Vengeance 4GB ram, the other 4gb is still in my friends computer while he waits for his red version of the ram, ($50.00, friendship discount)

(Don't mind the dusty graphics card)

The graphics card recently put in my old computer was carried over, an AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series 1gb ($50.00, friendship discount)

Computer was also fitted with friends old Corsair H100 Cpu Liquid cooling system ($60.00, friendship discount) and a 140mm Corsair fan mounted to top of case

Computer has an ancient 250GB Samsung HDD and a 1tb Western Digital Blue Series ($59.39). The Samsung HDD is going to be replaced by a Seagate Hybrid 1tb Drive.

And some cable management was done free of charge

Now just an extra picture showing the location of the power button

Keyboard is a Razer DeathStalker Ultimate Gaming Keyboard. ($57.99)

Mouse is a Lenovo N50 Wireless Mouse ($17.78) with an Anker Gaming mouse pad ($7.99)

Sound system is a Logitech Z506 Surround Sound System ($69.99)

On the Windows Index Experience, it scored in the following categories:
Processor: 7.2
Memory (RAM): 7.3
Graphics/Gaming Graphics: Both 7.4
Primary Hard Disk: 5.9 - Base Score (I think mainly because I don't have a Solid State Drive)

For me, this is the greatest computer I've ever owned. It currently runs all my owned games on the highest settings with no lag and is lightning quick. In total, I have spent $609.08 on a pretty damn good computer, but by the time all my upgrades are done, it'll probably be more like $824.35 to $900. Even though that is quite a bit of money for me, it's still a pretty damn good computer. (Sorry for it being a little long, I just felt that I needed to share) Opinions anyone?

Haha, the next one I'm going all out, so it will take a while to save up.

This. This is why I want to build my own PC. You get more for less, and you can make it look and perform the way you want!

I couldn't deal with all that intricate machinery stuff. If something didn't work the first or second time I tried it, I'd give up.

In total, I have spent $549.99 on a pretty damn good computer, and although it needs an upgrade or two (ahem, hard drives and graphics card), I'm totally convinced that it's the best money I've ever spent. Nice job dude! I dig your rig. (see what I did there?) I built my own computer (with a little help) two years ago, best money ever spent. I also went with the blue interior lighting and blue ram. :P

Exactly! I use to think you could only get a decent computer for a few thousand dollars, haha I was dead wrong.

I love how square it looks.
Lol, NZXT kind of took simplicity to the next level with the case.

I couldn't deal with all that intricate machinery stuff. If something didn't work the first or second time I tried it, I'd give up.
Same with me, that's why my friend built it. When we first booted it up, my main hard drive with my OS on it wasn't responding. If I had built the computer by myself, I would've been freaking out at that point, when all I would've had to do was reinstall Windows.
