I had my wisdom teeth removed 5 days ago and got dissolvable stitches. The main bit they cut is stitched and healing well but my there is a flap of gum next to the tooth (2nd molar). They can't stitch into the tooth so the gum next to the tooth left can be peeled back. I want to know if it is possible if it could be infected, if it's normal and about how long it will take to heal.

I would think if it was infected you would feel pain and swelling - been a day or so since you posted so we hope you feel better.
