I want to know how many people were upset that U2's new album, Songs of Innocence, was made free and readily available to everyone with Itunes, and I want to know why you felt that way.

I felt that there was nothing wrong with what they did because the album still needed to be manually downloaded onto the device, so why would you download it if you do not like U2? Also, It is FREE music! how can you be upset when Itunes is giving you free music? It does not matter that you do not like the band, the fact that the music is free is a godsend because Itunes is not normally into that kind of thing.

I want to hear what those of you who listened to the entire album thought of it.

What is your favorite U2song of all time?
Mine is Beautiful Day

I didn't have a problem with it, for the reasons you've stated.

Actually, while Itunes is fairly bloated with its prices, I've enjoyed a fair amount of free music I've gotten from them.

I haven't listened to the album yet though.

I wouldn't say it's necessarily my favorite, but I love Sweetest Thing. Brings back childhood memories.

I think it's funny people are complaining when they signed itunes terms of aggrements and had turned on automatic download lol. Im a rock n roll fan and I enjoyed the album a lot! My favorite U2 song is One. I think its funny that all the celebrities that got angry at U2 are the ones who charge a lot of money for their music or those they represent. I think it's awesome U2 would give 500,000 people such a lovely gift!

I was actually happy (although a bit confused) to find out that this happened. When I read that a "new U2" album was going to be in my iTunes I assumed it would be some demos or throwaway songs, but to be honest...the album is actually pretty good and I like it.

I don't have a problem with being given free stuff. It's not like they could charge me anyways since I never left payment information on my account. As for privacy - I've heard the complaints from others but I am still not seeing the issue. They gave you something. Who cares? Conspiracy theory bullshit at it's finest.

Oh, and my favorite U2 song is probably City of Blinding Lights, because they used it for the World Cup promos four years ago.

I'm not the biggest U2 listener but the rhythm in invisible sounded like it was made by angels.

U2's my second favorite band, and I don't have a problem with how they distributed Songs of Innocence. I was more annoyed how people thought they sucked enough and didn't deserve to be on their playlists.
Favorite U2 song would be Stay(Faraway So Close!) or Where the Streets Have no Name. All That You Can't Leave Behind and Achtung Baby are my all time favorite albums as well.

I think the reason why everyone was making a big deal about U2 and their promotion of the new album is I think the other artist find it unfair for them to pull a move of giving away their album for free. I heard a lot of music artists today are in their struggle of hustling the product of what they created just to get by.....this is U2? one of the greatest bands ever (in my opinion) They can do that.

I think the album is pretty good. My parents are U2 fans since day one and I grew u listening to them. I even saw them in concert a couple times when I was younger.

My favorite song from U2 I would say is either "one" or "city of blinding lights"
