Well, they made televisions out of them. I don't think they're used in mainstream applications nowadays.

(Also my TV is still a CRT :blue:)

My school still uses CRT displays so they aren't as antiquated as many think...

I love CRT! How can you not like it! They have personality!

CRT's are fantasic devices, electron guns! How can you not love elecrong guns!

Ive never done much with the electron gun, but the supporting flyback transformer makes for an excellent high-voltage power supply! :)
