I hate it when my mom still calls me "Nicky-boo". She does it in front of my friends and when she picks me up. Do your parents still do it? It's embarrassing!

Eh, I don't mind it so much. Everyone kinda gushes over me like a baby, so at this point I just let them get it over with LMAO

Enjoy your mum and all her weirdness now, she'll be dead one day, to put it bluntly.

I would hate that, but it never happens to me.

If you hate it, ask her to stop doing it.

My parents don't call me anything annoying or embarrassing, at least not in front of my peers. Almost every one I know calls me Jess or Jessie; my uncles/close male adult relatives sometimes call me baby girl, but they do that for like every one of my female cousins. It is what it is, however embarrassing it may be.

Add to this: And then you'll miss her.

I don't mind my parents calling me baby names like Benny, Benji, or Beemin and stuff like that. I know someday I'll miss them calling me.

I'm lucky that where I live we aren't big on nicknames.

I thought this thread was actually about the stupid names that people these days give their babies (names like Nevaeh, Miley, Bentley, etc.).

My dad calls me booger because I sucked his nose when I was first born.

Yeah, I hate it very much.

My mom used to do that when I was little. Thankfully she doesn't do it anymore.

Because I couldn't pronounce "Alexandre" when I was small, I ended up saying my own baby name: "Xane" (shun-ee). My parents used this until I was around ten.

Thank goodness I no longer am associated with that.

It's always been Joss for me. Or 'pet' which is just sorta a family nickname.

Neither of those bother me (well, one is my name anyway).

Really? Am I the only one that would fucking love for my mom to call me "Baby successful sperm" or "fruit of my loins" or "cute ear wax"? All I am called are names that are too mature for my maturity level. My mom and I hardly have a relationship anymore, so don't take yours for granted. Your mom just loves you and calling you what she did when you were in diapers puts you back in diapers in her mind, despite the fact that (biologically speaking) you are probably old enough to have your own in diapers. Suck it up and let her call you it or so help me god. :metal:

It may be embarrassing but think of it like this; One day you are probably going to go to college, get a job, and do other things related to being an adult. When that day comes you might not see your mom for a while. I think she's just trying to maybe remind herself of when you were a little kid or something like that. It just reminds her of when you were little and I'm sure that makes her really happy.

Fortunately my family nickname is Shea. Sheay-boo just wouldn't have worked.

My parents just call me my name (Hannah is my legal name but I have another name everyone uses in real life), sometimes my dad calls me my first and middle name together, but that's it. I've never had a baby nickname and seemingly never will.

Sometimes my parents call me "Berea-Baby". I don't care for nicknames in general but it's not a huge deal for me.

Actually, my names aren't too bad, I do feel slightly embarrassed because some people are like "They call you that?" and then I have to explain a huge bubble. Basically, half my middle name has "Yean" so they call me that. When my little bro really needs me though, he'll go "Yeangee-bum" or "Yeangee bot-bot" which is annoying.

No it never happened to me. But she is only doing it because she loves you not because she wants to annoy you.

Add to this: And then you'll miss her.
