So last night I had a dream that i was having a heart attack and it was just scary but in the dream it felt more like panic and then i woke up and my heart was racing and it was a little hard to breathe and i was terrified. i've gotten panic attacks before but i wasn't even sure it its possible to have them while sleeping.

That's typically what a nightmare does to people. If your natural response to stress (like mine) is to panic, you're probably going to wake up panicking. Get up, go get a glass of water or something, and take the time to calm down before going back to sleep. If you need better sleep, melatonin helps some people but also gives others even more vivid dreams.

Hey :)
That sounds like it was just a bad dream, often when I have bad dreams that wake me, I wake like that, sometimes worse, sometimes not as bad. I think you'll be OK, I've never had apanic attack in my sleep, I don't think you can, can you? IDK
How are you feeling now?

I have night terrors sometimes, and most of my dreams are nightmares, so I will occasionally wake up in the middle of the night with a panic attack. It's not a pleasant experience. :(
I usually just have to watch tv until I can calm back down enough to fall asleep again (granted that I can fall asleep again).

Often I wake up crying and shaking, my dreams can get really fucked up some night, I know what you mean, it's really not a nice thing to deal with.

You've never had a dream like this before? AS in a bad dream has never woke you up? Or this is the worst it has made you feel after waking you? If yoiu dont mind me asking, what did the dream consist of?

Yeah :(
Even if I don't remember my dreams, they usually leave me with anxiety in the morning, and that figurative "bad taste" in my mouth.

like i have bad dreams and i would wake up scared and breathing heavily but never like this, never so much like a panic attack.
I cant remember much. I was at the doctor and he was giving me a check up, checking my blood pressure and stuff like that then something was wrong and i was panicking and then he put a heart monitor on me and then said i was having a heart attack even though it felt like a full on panic attack. like i felt it in real life then i woke up with a racing heart beat and panic and short frequent breaths

That sounds like just a bad dream. When I have nightmares that stuff happens to me. I wouldn't say its a panic attack, but I do wake up all scared and stuff. I think this is just how your body/mind reacts to the dream.
