I personally have never cried while listening to a song, but I do kinda tear-up when I listen to Sarah McLachlan's when she loved me from toy story 2.

So I guess what I wanted to know is which song or songs make you cry?

Vrigin Steele - House of dust
a very beautifull song but also damn sad

Cold light descending through curtains of dust
Torn like the memory of what we wert and what became of us
Gone with the Evening when morning stares
Gone and forgotten Iike a photograph
or the fragments of a dream

[Chorus:]
Let me know where to find you
Cive me the chance to find you
I'm Lost on my own in this House of Dust
Heaven will not receive me
Nobody will believe me
I'm Lost on my own in this House of Dust

Who tends the garden when I'm not there
Who lights the candle
through the darkest hours when the world is filled with fear
I will remember when you were there
sleeping beside me through the darkest hours
when the world is bathed in fear

[Chorus]

Let me know where to find you
Why should I care to find you
You left me alone in this House of Dust
Your heaven will not receive you
Nobody will believe you
I'm setting the Flame to this House of Dust

"The Palm of a Tiny Hand" by Jun Maeda, end song of Clannad After Story. Anyone that watched this anime gets it.

As of yet I have never cried at a song, not even close, perhaps one day

The worst one was "Secrets"-OneRepublic. I can barely sing it now without tearing up.

I need another story
Something to get off my chest
My life gets kinda boring
I need something that I can confess

'Till all my sleeves are stained red
From every single truth that I've said
I come by it honestly I swear
Thought you saw me wink, no
I been on the brink, so

Tell me what you want to hear
Something that'll light those ears
I'm sick of all the insincere
I'm gonna give all my secrets away

This time
Don't need another perfect lie
Don't care if critics ever jump in line
I'm gonna give all my secrets away

My God,
Amazing that we got this far
It's like were chasing all those stars
Whose driving shiny big black cars?
And every day I see the news all the problems that we could solve and when a situation rises just write it into an album
We could send it straight to gold
But I don't really like my flow no, so

CHORUS x2

All my secrets away...

all my secrets away...

There were a few more, like
Pompeii-Bastille
Waiting on the World to Change-Whatshisface
Paradise-Coldplay
And that song from Adventure Time (I Remember You)

Playing Five for Fighting's 100 Years is a sure-fire way to get me to start tearing up. Such a beautiful song. Same with Alphaville's Forever Young.

The Man Who Can't Be Moved as well as Nothing by The Script are very sad. Also, The Scientistby Coldplay is sad...I just realized that I listen to a lot of sad songs.

I've never cried because of a song. I've come close. The songs I've almost cried to:
Jack Killed Mom by Jenny Lewis (it's not even a sad song, it's just that I was a little drunk and emotional and at that moment I realized what a talented singer she was.)
I Could Be There For You by Eisley
Currents by Eisley

Arms of an Angel.

I really only cry because of that animal commercial.

This is definitely me too. I haven't cried to any songs, but this song usually makes me feel really sad because of the commercials..

Please Don't Go - Barcelona
Hello - Evanescence
The Resistance - Muse (don't ask why... I knew the tune long before the lyrics)

I have to be feeling a certain kind of way for most music to make me want to cry, or actually cry, but some songs that may provoke it are:

Jolene by Ray Lamontagne

I Will by Brandi Carlile

A Perfect Sonnet by Bright Eyes

An Attempt to Tip the Scales by Bright Eyes

Haligh Haligh A Lie Haligh by Bright Eyes

Asleep by The Smiths

Oh, that song.

Jhonny shared this vine in the chat, and I found it really relevant to the thread:

I don't know any music tracks that have made me cry yet.

Can't tell if you're making fun of me with sarcasm or not.

Thank you all for your responces, I really want to find a song to make me cry and so far I've found ones that made me tear up but I still haven't found one to make my eyes rain.

Thank you all.
