So, I'm a 16 yr old guy and I'm kinda looking to get involved in a relationship with a girl. I feel like it's something I want to explore and I really would like to someone to spend time with and love them. However, I have a concern, how do you people cope with parents? Your partner's parents or your own. Do you ever tell them you're in a relationship? If you do, how do your parents feel about it?

Boys get praised for getting the girl and girls get scolded for getting involved with that [insert problem with said boy here] boy.
Okay, no, that's a heteronormative stereotype. Though double standards exist and stereotypes have to come from somewhere.
I don't tell my parents at first if I don't know if it's gonna last. No need to bother. If it gets more serious, yeah, I tell them. In every case, my partner's parents have loved me. If you're honest and sincere, you shouldn't have a problem.

You know I feel the same way you do. I want someone I can love and spend time with but honestly at our age you have to remember the first one isn't always the one. You can think she is but in reality most likely she isnt the one. And as with the parents thing. My dad wouldn't care but mom likes to control my life and she's all over stuff like that. I hate it so much.

Thanks for the replies, I'm just quite interested on this since if I ever got into a relationship I have no idea how my parents would react. I know if I did start going out with someone they may not always be the person I'm looking for, but it's worth a shot I guess.
