These are the lyrics to the song called IfPiratesCouldFly which my band has written D:
if everyday would never end
and the sun would stay above our heads
A death-bed to which all do attend
A never ending cradle, and we're all dead
We need the dark to hide the expressions on our face
The day the sun will take our lives
The father who held us so close, has finally let go
He turned his back one us
We're left for dead,
We're so unforgiving
Now let us go
We'll watch you come as the day grows faster
Now let us go
The ground can only be trusted for a while
The same god, that molded our faces, wants to darken it, just to forgive his mistake.
The same God who breathed life into us, is the same God who will rip it right back out.
The same god, that molded our faces, wants to darken it, just to forgive his mistake.
The same God who breathed life into us, is the same God who will rip it right back out.
We need the dark to hide the expression on our faces when the sun turns black, and all of the air that we once breathed turns to fire and dust. And we’re forced to cover our faces and our eyes burn out, and try to breath in the air we could grasp in our hands, we can’t see our own death. We were too blind.
And it grows faster,
and faster,
(Is this what you wanted all along)
and faster,
and faster,
(Is this what you wanted all along?)
and faster,
I'm not typing that many fasters so yess :3
