So on Saturday i was out at 'the woods' with like 90 people from my school because we all knew everyone was out.
So my best friend (i have feelings for) is there and her ex is there. He keeps being a dick and i stay with her because if i leave her he keeps going over.
Then her kind of ex is there and hes talking to a girl, Rosie. Its her ex. So she has feelings for rosies ex.
She has been drinking too and starts crying when she sees. So i pull her to the field away from everyone and just hug her for what felt like forever. Me, being an ass, went to kiss her in a supportive way (my role as best friend is more important than my feelings) and thennnnn it turns out i kissed her hood. It was pretty dark and cheered her up but damn i felt stupid. Whoops.

Well at least you did get to "do something". It wasn't what you expected, alright, but it was something that only you would know went wrong anyways. Just wait for another chance and aim better this time :D

That sounds kinda cute actually. You were there for her as a supportive friend and you spent time with her, that will put you in her good books at least! The kiss on the hood might seems to you like you messed up but I would see it as cute and not as full on as a proper kiss. I'm sure your friend was happy with how you behaved :)
