To be honest I've become completely bored of standard Apple iOS and it's one reason I'd hate to upgrade my phone at this point. I have both my phone and iPad jailbroken and love it sooo much more. I do love the fluidity of the OS and the integration between my devices and things like airdrop are convenient, but all the tweaks available to make your Apple device exactly how you want it is awesome IMO. I spend too much time looking at new tweaks, finding new developer repositories to add and dig through, etc. some of it's for the aesthetics if the way my screen appears in any given app, and some of it's for functionality across the device itself.

I think Im actually going to even hold off deciding if I want to upgrade to the 6 until I see if a jb becomes available for iOS8. I really don't want to see those fugly ass grabbers on my lock screen and have a boring old app layout and no night mode tweaks for the UI all sacrificed for a larger screen

Both my friends jail broke there iPod's, they regreted it, often jail breaking makes the device unstable and all jankey, kind of fucks them up a little.

It actually isn't nearly as bad as people think it is. Typically when deceives are buggy/crash, it's more than likely a third party app itself and removal of said app will fix this. Sometimes certain jb apps don't work well with other apps, but most of the time it says so in the description before you download it.

Back when jail breaking first came around (I did it to my old iPod touch) it was definitely less stable and made your device more susceptible to issues. It's come a long way since there's so many people that are apart of it now :)

I have had my iPhone 4S jailbroken for over two years, no problems. Actually never had a crash.

Ive had my iPod jailbroken for ages now and I love it! It looks so much better than it did standard, the increased functionality has gotta be my biggest 'pro'.
Its also good fun to have debates with friends as to what parts of iOS7 were taken from jailbreaking (SBSettings --> Control Center) :P

Well it's all dependent on if and when a jailbreak comes out for iOS 8. I honestly think the 6+ would be badass with a jailbreak! I don't feel 8 brought much new functionality short of being able to uninvite yourself from a group message (which is awesome btw) but as is it's just a stock iOS version on a bigger screen, the phone is great but until they come out with one for iOS 8 I'm happy with my recent switch to Android:metal:

None of my friends seem to care that much or are geeky as I am to care about that stuff. They just look at it and say. "Isn't that an iPhone? Why does it look so much different?" But they still don't care lol.

I just jumped ship to Android and so far I freaking love it. Took a couple weeks to really appreciate it but I do. Now I think I might find a used iPod touch on iOS 7 I can jailbreak :D

Yesssss it made ios 7 so much better!!! I ditched my iPhone and went to Samsung and love it, but I really miss some aspects of my jailbroken 5 and feel like the 6 would've been cool, but I like my switch lot more now

When I had an iPhone I jailbroke it but I put way too many tweaks on and ran out the memory.

My brother jailbroke his iPod a few years ago. It got pretty fucked up, but that could have been because he took horrendous care of it, like he always dropped it because he was always flipping it in the air to emulate tricks he does with his drum sticks, or dropping it in the bathtub.
