So here's a short thing I wrote in 5 mins, it's got a bit of swearing in it, but otherwise should be fine,

Without further ado... here it is:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

F**ked. That’s what I am. Rock and a hard place. Pinned against a wall. A titanic monstrosity looms from the corner of my study, I don’t see a thing, no visual cues give it away, and it is silent too. But I feel it. I’m f**ked. I know I am. I will leave and face it or I will stay and it will force me to insanity. I don’t know which scares me more.

I go cold as I write this. I left my friends behind for this icy paranoia. To study such a thing has me horrified. To know that it is there. To know that it watches my moves, makes me feel f**ked in the head, and that’s what I am. F**ked. Dead to society. Eyes rushing, door closed. I begin to cry as I clench the cold metal barrel. This is what I deserve, I will be alone and be safe, safer dead than alive. It will fester on me, crawl and dance on my remains.

Click.

Life ticks away, as does fear.

Blackout.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So that's that! I hope you enjoyed it! :D

Interesting approach on horror, maybe you should describe a bit more about this thing that is with the protagonist, you have described it so little that it doesn't really strike as fearsome. Describe a bit more but not too much, give away some more cues about how it's pressuring the protagonist, how its sole presence fills him with fear more than you already have.
