Just say HI and see where things go, I met my last girlfriends (amazing person) by accidently insulting her country and then explaining how and internal combusion engine works, and somehow we still ended up dating, if that can happen anything can, so just strike up a convo, about music, work, school, anything, just get talking, start on FB if ti makes it easier

It wouldn't be creepy at all. If you say hello to her, you can get to know her better. She might just think you're being friendly. You can build a relationship with her from that friendship. You should also try to find your common interests so you'll have more to talk about.
