Whats your opinion on it?

To me all they've done is put a strap on an ipod nano and update the OS

i think it sounds cool but they haven't released any official details about it so we have to wait for it to come out

Looks quite cool actually, but I hate the way their marketing is. It's good, so good that when you objectively compare the features of the Apple Watch, it really isn't all that except for...perhaps the tougher glass (or sapphire thing they have got going on), but people will definitely buy it and show it off like the Google Glass. As for tech wearables, I'd rather wait a few generations until I have the money and careness about such devices.

at the time you had written this post, they had.

I'm wondering how practicle it will be, I dont want to ignore smart watches and condem them as a fad, because the TV and the smart phone where seen as fads when they first came out, so for all I know this could take off, but I doubt it, the screen is to small and they are to limited in what they can do, I think Apple only really did this so they dont seem to be lagging behind, after all GOD FORBID they fall behind Sony (that last sentance was dripping with sarcasm)

It's not really all that appealing to me, tbh.

I'd never buy it, soly based on the fact it's a modern apple product, second it's a smart watch.

Yeah, and I really doubt there's much the smartwatch can do that a smartphone can't. In my opinion, it's just a waste of money, and I can only picture apple fanboys buying it.

I dont see the point of smartwatches in general, I have my phone, with 5 times the computing power, in my pocket, it has about 40x the capabilitys as well, so why the hell would putting a crap version of that on my wrist make me want to spend £££ on it?

I'm like an anti-Apple Fanboy. I hate Apple. Apple can suck it. I want to slap those hipster apple Fanboy weirdos. They pay thousands of dollars for something I could build for a few hundred, and act like that's some sort of status symbol. They just need to take their plaid shirts and fake eyeglasses and skinny jeans and go away.

Oh right, the watch. It's looks pretty stupid. I don't see why anyone would want it.

I'm not interested in it, now that apple have released a smartwatch everyone is going to have one and it's gonna be about £217, LG has the G watch which is £150 from the google play store and now they have the G watch R which imo looks pretty cool.

How are you supposed to do anything on a screen the size of your thumb? Waste of money, waste of time.

It functions in the same way that Toyota's Entune uses your phone to power apps within the nav system, right? If so, there's no way I'm buying it. Why would I pay extra money to have features that are already on my iPod or phone to begin with? I'd consider getting one if the watch can function independently without the need for an iPhone.

probably has a compass that points toward Cupertino for the Apple cultists prayer time

also this is showcase numero uno for pointless technology for which marketing "invents want." Butlerian Jihad when?

I would never waste my money on that. A smart phone is one thing, but a smart watch? That's like some wanna-be star wars shit. I doubt it will be anywhere near as practical as they are trying to make it look.

I'm not too big on it, considering I believe that an analog wrist watch will always do you good, whether you have a $10 Walmart watch or a $50,000 Rolex Yacht-Master II...

But people in Japan sure do love it!

But the moral of the story here? If its not broken, don't fix it. But, I think people should have a choice in whether or not they want to waste their money on something similar to what they already have in their pocket.

I think that the Apple Watch is really just a publicity stunt and that the only reason that they are making this watch is because other companies are making it and they want to keep up with the competition. Which honestly is a smart move to want to keep up but it's still a dumb product and I agree with you when you say it's just a nano strapped onto your wrist. I would never buy one.

But Apples motto is if it's not broken completely change something about it and rename it as "inventive". Take the apple charger for instance it was great because all the apple devices used the same charger... and then one day they decided "Oh you know what? We could make a load more money if we change the charger and make them all buy new ones."

Having said all that thought I do love my iPhone and all apple products I've bought. Thought I wont be buying the Apple Watch as it seems like a pointless thing for me to use when you could buy a cheaper thing which is probably more comfortable as well.

Why would I buy a watch that I have to charge every day? If I get a text, I'll get my phone out. If I need to check anything but the time, I'll get my phone out. It's pointless.

Personally I think it looks good. I am yet to be convinced of its function but Im pretty sure lots of people will get it and the I will be seeing lots of gold ones where i live.

My watch is waterproof and I never have to take it off. The Apple watch is not.

Decision made.

lmao it's not even waterproof? and most "dumb" watches have been waterproof for how many decades now? :lol3:

my dad was given one on his 21st birthday that a) still works and b) is water resistant. this thing will probably wear out and die just from regular use on or around the release of iWatch v2.0.1

From the pictures on their website it looks a bit chunky, like its a smaller version of the iPhone 3

No I try to stay away from anything apple. iphones, imacs, ipads. The iwatch design wise doesn't really interest me at all. Doesn't mean that they aren't still gonna make money and it isn't going to sell, because it is.

I'm usually a samsung and android guy. Plus I'm not a fan of smart watches of any kind. Still think they look kinda crazy to me.

Although I'm an apple fan, I Would probably wait until 2015 or 2016 or better improvements.

I'm going into phablet territory soon, so I can see a smartwatch being useful. Not an apple tho. Android wear seems better. And running/biking with a phablet is a little much. I'd like to be able to see directions, heart rate, track runs/rides, and listen to music (wireless bluetooth earbuds) through a lightweight watch on my wrist. I think it's brilliant tbh

Complete Shit!
Why would anyone get one? I'd rather get an iPod touch and use that! Or a actual phone. I think it will be popular for a bit...then the sale rate will die
