"Hi, I'm High"

Something I've noticed about myself when I get high is I (can be really chatty, and therefore) tell people I'm high a lot.

Like that's how I'll start off conversations. Usually in the form of a warning, or just a random statement.

But obviously not to people I wouldn't want to know (I'm actually pretty high functioning unless I'm COMPLETELY out for lunch. You might be able to tell something's a little off, but seeing as I usually do it at night, you'd probably just think I was tired.)

I don't know why I do it exactly, and I was wondering if anyone else did this.

My guesses:

-Could be because I feel that I'm not in full control of my actions; I'm saying this to warn people that I might act differently, etc.
-Could be because my social skills are severely lacking, and it's the first thing on my mind.

Announcing that you're high is actually pretty common. Some of my friends do it and I sometimes do it when I'm really drunk. I think I mostly do it to let people know I'm totally fucked up (as if they can't already tell) and am not completely in control.

I have a friend who always says that she's drunk whenever we drink something. She's very lightweight, she usually starts after one of two drinks and we find it funny. She gets more chatty, too.

Entirely agree there. LMAO. If you don't make it your life they get so paranoid at you. They need to chill (which is mildly ironic).

It really depends on the person really. Some people can't tell when I'm high. But some people, such as my sister can tell straight away. People like that I usually tell
