Family and School problems

Not quite sure what to start with, so I guess I will just start with the whole school thing.
At school lately I have felt distant and pushed away from my group of friends with only consists of four people (including me). I guess it's because they just don't really listen to me and they insult me a lot, without realising it. The thing is I can't just pull away from them seeing as though they are the only friends I have and I find it incredibly hard to talk to new people and make new friends.
The second thing would be that at school in a lesson I had my teacher was joking about something from a book and said something bad about someone with terminal cancer, which made me feel really upset because someone in my household quite close to me has terminal cancer. (The family problem being that which I have just stated, about the family member with cancer.)

I guess what I'm trying to get at is, what should I do?

(I should also add, that I am not willing to speak to anyone, I just physically can't. I will choke up and not get any words out.)

I'm really sorry to hear about your family member and the teacher joking about cancer clearly is really stupid ... even if your teacher didn't know or realize that there's someone in the class who has a family member with terminal cancer, it's no joking matter. It was a very bad move and this teacher clearly isn't a good rolemodel but I'm afraid that if you don't want to walk up to that teacher and confront him/her there isn't anything you could do about it.

About your friends, you are rather vague about what they do and how or why they insult you. But there again...if you don't want to talk as you said, I don't really see a solution to your problem. Communication is essential in saving problems, you know cuz sometimes people don't do these things on purpose and if you talked to them they'd change things but if you don't talk about problems there won't really be a chance to solve them.

I am posting bcause i cant offer you much advice. That's the same way a lot of people feel but sooner or later someone will come along who can tell you all the things you wanted. All i know is you're seeking help and that makes you a great person

What do you mean by that? If you meant that you thought my dad was my teacher, that's not the case. :l
