So tomorrow begins my journey into high school. Tomorrow I'm going to be a freshman and I won't lie, I'm very nervous. Is there anything I should expect/do for starting high school? I know that I don't know a lot of people in my classes so there will be a lot of people I don't know too.

Are you a good student in general? Usually every high-schooler's problems are either school related, or social. Or both.

I get somewhat decent grades, I got B's mostly in 8th grade, and an occasional A or C.

Get readly for gymn class showers. Some kids are shy about the first time being naked round all their classmates. It never mattered to me. Boys all have the same stuff.

Okay, if your high school is anything like my high school, beware of the walkways. The walkways of high school are literally like a freeway. You wait for an opening to cut in, and there's the occasional slow person, and the 2 people makin out in the middle of the path... well they're the car crash cause they stop EVERYONE. Also, when it comes to teachers, don't be a suck up, cause everyone will know and will think you're annoying. Honestly, high school isn't too much different from middle school. But really, I don't know how much of an opinion I can have just yet seeing as how i am only a Sophomore.

Don't worry, high schools easy, and when it comes to being socially acceptable don't force yourself to for in and try to be one of the cool kids, because as soon as you leave high school you will reloze it was all unimportant bushit.
Just trey yard in class and be yourself

The main difference between high school and middle school is that in HS people are generally more mature (psychologically speaking) and that you might have to put a bit more effort into studying if you want to keep up the same grades you had in MS. Try to get along well with everyone, be careful when picking your friends (if you don't have them already), try not to stand out much for now, and you will be fine. Good luck (:

Middle school and high school are inheritantly similar.

It wasn't a big transition for me, it was just middle school on a bigger campus.

I'm not sure how it is there on the east coast, but here I noticed that high school was much like middle school, except that the teachers care less about if you screw around and don't do your work. It's less work to type '0' into [-]Infinite[/-] Crap-finite Campus than it is to type '100'.
You'll notice more clearly who are the stoners and who are the try-hards.
Those who tried hard to be popular in middle school will continue to do so.
You'll notice very quickly that middle school absolutely does not matter.
Cliques will form and harden. You think middle school was clique-y? Well now you have a clear line between the jocks, the preps, the nerds, the stoners/druggies, the (wannabe-)thugs, and all the rest.
Don't offend the stoners or give any anti-weed opinion, because they'll come after you. How successful they'll be in their quest for revenge is dubious -- they are stoners, after all -- but it will get you a bad reputation.
Kissing the right teachers' asses will get you very far, provided you're not too forward or obvious about it.
On a related note, many teachers hate "point-pushers" -- those that haggle and whine about their grade and/or ask for extra credit when they realise their grade isn't as high as they had wanted a week before the term ends -- but you may be successful by carefully phrasing your requests.
Use common sense.

Oh if only that were true...
