Hi all,
so for a number of months now I have been contemplating going for runs, as silly as it sounds i'm kinda embarrassed about the whole idea. I wouldn't say I'm obese or would I. I don't know, I get a lot of "banter" if you could put it that way but sometimes it really brings me down. I go for regular bike rides with my closest friend but I want to do more. Exercise makes me so much happier with my self but I can't seem to bring myself to it! Please help me! How can I start?
Thanks so much!

Ps. I weigh about 66kg

Sorry for posting on multiple forums!

Running sounds like a good start. Why exactly is it that you can't bring yourself to do more. You don't have to go all super conditioned track star in the beginning, just start small and build up from there.

Seriously, don't listen to that bullshit. You go run because you are going to get healthier and happier. Go workout!

As long as you don't have any medical concerns that would make it advisable to check in with a doctor first (heart problems, high blood pressure, asthma. I have asthma, so I have to be careful.), just make sure you are well hydrated. Find a good music playlist to listen to while you run, maybe. There are apps out there like Nike Running that are good to track progress and encourage you.

There's nothing wrong with going on a run. People who judge are full of bullshit anyways, just remember that.
