Today I was with a bunch of new friends I've been making in college,

(bit of back story that's needed)
There is a show in the UK called Little Britain, it's a sketch show, and one of the sketches is a gay welsh man, who always says "I'm the only gay in the village!" and gets annoyed when he finds out he's actually not,
(back story over)

This show came up, and one of my friends said, "Only gay in the village", we all laughed, and then I said, in a thick welsh accent, "Only Bi person in the village" without thinking about it, admitting to the new friends I was Bi, and they where cool about it, didn't even have a slight reaction to it, which I did appreciate, but now I'm worried, now that I accidentally told them, I'm worried it may spread and I'm really am not ready for people to know.
What do I do?! Do I risk letting them say, or do I try to make them forget? Or am I over reacting?

Hm, I don't think you have to worry. I'm sure they remain cool about it and don't really spread it around, why should they suddenly change their minds?
Or, they maybe thought you were just joking...dunno.

Ha, you needn't worry one bit. In college, most people will accept you for who you are quicker than you can accept yourself. Just go with it and make internal peace with it so you can finally be yourself; that's part of the college experience. I've actually already decided that I'll be coming out for the first time to my college friends before the end of this year. Great, but I wish I had done it my first semester there.

I wish I ewas as confident about it as you are, as far as I can tell so far they havent bothered thinking about it, I think they may have forgotten, phew, and by the way, goo luck comming out to your friends!

I think you're overreacting, I've revealed to people that"m gay before and I go through the whole feeling where "Are they going to gang up on me and kill me when I think I've gained their trust". But that never happens, and it's all cool.

Also, how are you 17 in college? Is it that you skipped years, or just that the UK education system works differently than the US education system.

I don't think you have any reason to worry. I mean, they didn't really have a significant reaction, so it's not like they're gonna be all like "Did you hear that Joe is bi?" It just seems unrealistic to me. No worries, my friend. :)

Ye, the UK system is different (unfortunately), he you are shipped off to college just before you turn 17, and them at 19 you go to university

I think you are in the clear! If the "shit was gonna hit the fan" it would have already happened!

Ye, I think k it's safe to ring the all clear now, nothing's been said, and as it turns out one of my friends is Bisexual as well so its not as if its looked upon as different in our group.
