Hi!

It's my first year of college (just started) and I'm having a very common problem I assume. I just don't know when to take care of myself. I live in a quad with three roommates and we haven't talked about this subject at all. Our showers have closed stalls and I think that's where most college guys jack off, but my bathroom is co-ed and I feel weird and creepy thinking that a girl might be using my shower right afterward. Idk if that's rational though

It feels too personal to bring up masturbation with your roommates, especially when you have three and you just met...

Anyone with experience or advice on this?

I'm not in college yet, but we stayed in college dorms for a summer camp I went to about a year ago. It was two of us in one room, but there was no privacy, and it was a common bathroom down the hall with showers that just had a thin curtain and usually left a gap at the side. After all, everyone is of age and should be more than able to handle this maturely!

I just started college as well. I have two room mates, and we have not broached the subject. That being said, I have been able to take care of business while both of them were at classes. Get to know your room mates schedules, and plan accordingly. Otherwise, have a candid conversation with them. You never know what might happen, but if they are disgusted by what you have to say, they are hypocrites.

i think doing it on the shower is your best bet, if you have to change your shower time to accommodate it, then do it, but dont be so self conscious about it because everybody does it. think about it, the guy that was in there before you probably did it, so why should you? just make sure you clean up after yourself when you are done

I would casually bring it up, maybe in a joking way, and see what their reactions are, if they seem pretty cool about it bring it up some other time and ask maybe where they are doing it?
