View Full Version : What does this guy in my class mean with this behaviour?

There is a cute guy in my class who I have exchanged a few glances and smiles with, and talked to a few times, and three days right after class he heard me saying that I was single, and his reaction was like a really surprised "are YOU single?", then when I answered him he looked pretty puzzled, and said "...seriously?", and I answered again :P, and after that he said "alright..." to himself with the hint of a smile in his face (actually it was more like his eyes smiled), and then he went somewhere else.
The next day he passed me in the corridors and he seemed to almost "fall" in my direction, to the point that his left arm made close contact with my right arm, and on one occasion we made eye contact from a distance, and he gave me a playful smile, and he has asked me about random things a couple times, and each time he has seemed kind of nervous and happy at the same time.

What is he trying to tell me?
Is he interested, or what do you think?
He is actually kind of shy and reserved most of the time, so it seems like he is trying to "signal" something to me.
He seems like a sweet guy, but it's hard for most other students to get to know him.
Also, why did he think that my being single was so strange?

Well, it definitely appears he has a crush on you, so if you like him back, then go for it. But because he's shy, you should make the first move.

Yes, it seems like he likes me, I believe he has been checking me out a bit since day one. :P
It's a little confusing that he often completely ignores me though, it's relatively rare to actually see him show signs of interest or that he even notices me.

Oh trust me, he likes you.
With him being shy and all, it's probably very tough for him to show you he likes you. I think the only reason he avoids you at times is because he doesn't want to embarrass himself in front of you, or risk being rejected.

So yeah, I'm kind of an expert on the mentality of shy people, because, well, I am one :P

Hehe alright, I will see what happens tomorrow then. :P

It seems like he doesn't fully trust the other students, since he usually never takes any initiative himself and only talks to those who approach him - but he seems nice and friendly when he does talk to someone.
But then again, this is a new school class for everyone, so he might still take his time to become comfortable with the others. :P

Haha yes, I am starting to feel more and more sure about that now. :P
I have noticed that he always smiles when he sees me, no matter how serious he looked right before that, and yesterday there was this occasion when he was trying to walk past me between the desk rows at a seminar (even though he could've easily walked the other way), and then he put his hands on my arms and was like "excuse me, Michelle" (my name) with a very special tone in his voice - it sounded deeper and more "seductive" I guess - and when I smiled at him he stopped and smiled back, and turned red.
Then he asked me what I was going to do this weekend, and tried to make it sound like a casual question.
Then he walked away, so I guess I should do something about this myself as well next week.
