advice needed

I'm having surgery soon, and i'm gonna need to be in crutches or be in a wheelchair. any advice on crutches?

They will hurt your armpits so wrap some foam or little pillows around them and also, MAKE SURE THEY ARE THE RIGHT LENGTH! I cannot stress this enough. My moms crutches where to long when she broke her leg, and she fell and broke her ankle.

Yeah crutches are more painful than using a wheelchair but using a wheelchair restricts ur movement by a lot.

and as reaper said make sure u put loads of foam/soft stuff around the top of the crutches so your armpits dont hurt as much!
