View Full Version : What desktop browsers do you use?

I have a liking for different browsers! Each have their own perks and UI, more/less extensions installed, different web engines... Seriously, I have around ten of them on my PC  It can get annoying when I get used to using one, with another configured as default and a third with my RSS reader. Or keeping track of which browser I used last :P
Which browsers do you use? Which is your default browser? Anything else browser-related you'd like to comment on?
I'm currently enamored by the Maxthon browser. I also have Firefox, Chrome, Opera, TOR, Safari and Chromium installed; with Firefox and Chrome as defaults on Notebook/PC, respectively. I already had Rockmelt, and it was nice when it lasted.

The only browser I use is Google Chrome. I find that it's really simple & basic, just what I need. :P

I was using Firefox for the longest time, but I recently switched to Chrome. It's faster and has a cleaner look to it.

I've been using Firefox forever, but I think I should switch to Chrome, because firefox seems to be slower and glitchy lately. Just not good at changing stuff. On my new phone I only use chrome because it came default.

Safari on my MacBook and iPod (only because of the good integration of the multi-touch gestures), and Chrome on pretty much everything else.

I use chrome on my tablet, Firefox on my laptop, I used to use chrome but I tingly dislike Google and the way they are constantly trying to collect information, so I got rid of it, but I did reinstall it yesterday but I may not use it.

I've always used Google Chrome, but recently it became so slow and glitchy, always crashing and stuff, I don't know what happened, so I changed to Firefox, and it has been nice so far.

I've been using Chrome for years and I could never switch to something else. It's exactly what I need, and it never gives me problems.

I use Firefox on my computer/tablet (it turns into a tablet when I remove the keyboard - Microsoft Surface Pro 1) and Safari on my phone as that was the default (iPhone 5c).
ETA: I used to use Chrome but it started being slow and crashing a lot, so I changed to Firefox.

Firefox if I'm using Windows. Chrome works better on my netbook (with Crunchbang Linux).

I used Opera 12 on Windows until they made the dumb decision of making it Chromium, thereby alienating about half of their desktop users. Opera had some great dev tools built in, but those are nowhere to be found in Chropera -- now it's all "simplified" and "modern".
It was fun while it lasted: Opera was the best browser for Windows.
So back to Firefox I went. On Linux I've always used Firefox.
Tor Browser(modified Firefox obviously) is used for getting around web filters, and, uh, other stuff.
Chromium I use on Linux for sites with Java, as for some reason it doesn't work in Firefox.
Chrome I will never use as Google knows enough about me already.

Firefox on my desktop and whatever the default browser is on my Galaxy s4. Oh, I also have that mobile Tor deepweb browser on my Galaxy. For when I wanna be really anonymous.

Firefox will no longer open on my Mac, and I'm too lazy to fix that, so it's always Goigle Chrome now. I RARELY use Safari, but occasionally I will.

I first used internet explorer. Then hated it and wanted something less laggy and didn't give me pop ups or would download toolbars without me asking. So then I switched to firefox. Would hate how firefox would update without it telling you to, so then I switched to google chrome and I never went back. :)

I primarily use Chrome and IE for browsing, but I also use Firefox (with FireBug) for debugging websites, and Opera/Safari/Netscape/Chromium for testing sites when developing them. I obviously also use Chromium rather than Chrome when on my Linux machine.
