Does anyone have any translation notes for Thucydides, book 1, paragraph 9? I'm stuck on a sentence and I refuse to look up the translation. If you have some or know where to find it I will love you. I'm not kidding

Wait. You refuse to look up the translation, but you're going on the internet, asking for translation notes? Pardon my confusion, but isn't that a little contradictory?

I guess he's just looking for hints and not the actual solution? I don't even know what "Thucydides" is.

Exactly! Thucydides is a Greek historian who wrote about the war between Athens and Sparta back in 500 somethin B.C.

To be more specific, every translation has some commentary made by a scholar helping students translate the hard bits. It's that I'm looking for. if You have some/know where to find some, awesome.
