I just joined, so sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong area.

I don't talk about ya know, myself, a lot, so this isn't going to make very much sence...........

So, I my boobs are growing, and they are visible through my shirts now.

I have bras, I have training bras, I have those training bras with pads, I have sports bras, and I have one normal cupped bra. My mother bought them all for me (I was there though). I know she cares about me, but it seems like she is REALLY into puberty and it's kind of creepy. For example, today I was typing an essay on my laptop, and my computer was on my lap. She came in and said, but a pillow on your lap to protect your ovaries. She said it like that's how she talks all the time. She also rubs my back before I leave to see if i'm wearing a bra. She'll literally just come at me at an unexpected time and rub my back.

The training bras are the most comfortable, but they don't do anything, or hide anything. The training bras with pads are even more but they don't have any support. The sports bras are super tight and uncofortable, and the cupped bra is okay, but please read my "problem" below.

I HATE bras. I hate feeling a band ubove my stomach, I hate feeling the straps, and I just hate it in general. I can't focus on school work or anything while i'm wearing one, and I'm always very aggrivated while wearing one.

Do you have any tips, on how I can get used to wearing a bra? Sleeping with one?

Hey :)

Unfortunately it's just one of those things you have to get used too. I wouldn't reccomend sleeping in one, that'll be uncomfortable. Have your boobs just started growing? Xx

Perhaps a bandeau or bralette? I've been a big fan of bandeaus lately if I'm not doing anything that would require me to wear a regular bra.

yep they suck when you first start wearing them, but you will get used to them. Try not getting underwire first.

i would say talking to your mum would most likely be the best option as she can help more in person that we could, 9/10 times at least, she could have some tips herself.

I have the same problem. I also find bras to be very uncomfortable and don't like to wear them either and usually don't. my boobs aren't very big either so i can get away with not wearing one. the only time i do wear one is when I run/jog outside i wear it in place of a shirt, since i can't exactly run topless. lol

Yes I agree with everyone. Bras are something new, and as our boobs continue to grow, we willhave to try new bras, which suck. I hate underwire bras too, so I try to finds one that are cotten and no underwire. and yes your nipples will show through your bra and whatever top you are wearing, especially when we are excited are obviously cold

I hate them too, luckily for me I can be nude at home, so I only have to wear them when I go to school..

You shouldn't be sleeping with a bra on... and that thing about "protecting your ovaries" sounds like bullshit to me, sorry.

There are normal cup bras without underwires. Have you tried one of those?

I wouldn't wear a bra to bed but if you aren't wearing one to school then when you get home just put the bra on without a shirt of and wear it for a few hours and see if that doesn't help or maybe a tee on over it. and besides you may be trying to wear a bra too tight too. loosen [/I]the strap if you have too or see of your will take you to a bra fitting.

I assume you are an (A) cup so they should be able to fit you easily. Good luck!

It feels strange at first but then you get used to it I guess. I'm almost in a D cup and if I don't wear a bra, they like kind of hurt from just hanging there.

I agree with everyone else, by saying that it's something that you will eventually get used to. Underwire bras can be very uncomfortable, and even though I wear them sometimes, I don't prefer them.
Make sure you are wearing the right size. There are lots of sites that have guides on how to determine your band size and cup size. There are even places that will do a professional bra sizing for you. Also, make sure all the straps are adjusted right.
And if your breasts are growing, keep in mind that the bra you wore six months ago, may not be the right size for you now.

Agreed. When you get bigger, freeboobin' can be fairly irritating. I've been going without a bra lately because I only have one bra, and it recently went in the wash (so I figured I'd take a break for a few days) and it's weird how big of a difference it makes.

I mean, your boobs are gonna flop around no matter what when you're a D cup or higher, but bras can seriously help.

Uh, that being said, sleeping in a bra, while some people do it (like me), doesn't really do anything, can actually hurt you/leave you with injury if you're not careful about it (I've had rib joints get inflamed several times due to prolonged bra use, not to mention wearing an underwire bra that was too small...), and is really uncomfortable to some people. (I don't mind so much)

It's just gonna have to be something you get used to, unfortunately. It'll get better with time.

I don't recommend sleeping with a bra on because that just sucks in general. You'll get used to it eventually. Don't worry about it.

I totally understand how annoying it is to get used too... and like many others, the desire to take it off as soon as I get home.

However, try to think of it as something you GET to wear not HAVE to. There are so many cute ones out there, if you think of it that way it does make it a little better ;)

At first it was awkward to wear a bra especially a training bra.. Luckily I have small breasts and I wear just push up bras and sports bras., no underwire bras... But it is a part of being a woman and when ur boobs start to grow., in tine you will adjust to what's right for you
