Well I made a video last night on Movie Maker which I am interested in putting up on Youtube.

But I can't.

I save the video from Movie Maker to a file, go on youtube, click Upload Video, Browse, find it, open it, and it fails to upload.

Any help?

I have had that problem to, it needs to be in flash format, you need a video converter.

K, I haven't worked with Movie Maker in awhile, but I'd consider myself a "sort-of" expert.. The problem is I don't have it on my home computer (but I've worked with it in my Computer Apps class).. And though I've never tried to get a video from Movie Maker to youtube, I think that if you "finish" the Movie Maker project and save it as a Windows Media File transferring it might be easier.. But no guarantees (and I'm not that incredible with Movie Maker; though I am a true expert when it comes to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Powerpoint, and Source Hacking. :D) So yeah, don't know how much help my advice is. (Again, I don't remember the correct terms for everything, I just remember you can save your movie maker project as a Windows Media file, and that it can make things a lot easier..but I'm not sure.. *Goes to see if he actually has Movie Maker on his computer*

Windows Movie Maker files just tell the program where videos, music, and pictures are on your computer and what effects, etc. to apply. You have to export it as a WMV or something in order to upload to Youtube because it needs a self-contained video file, not a project file.

anyhoo, I think that microsoft should develop a movie maker plugin so you can upload directly to youtube, because you can already directly upload to some other vid sites on movie maker
