trombonist

I'm John, but most of my friends just call me Slide or Skee anyway. I'm an aspiring musician, and I play piano, guitar, bass, harmonica, trombone, euphonium (google that one of you're not familiar xD) and I sing.
I'm a 70s and 80s kid at heart though, as that's where my preferences in rock and roll and classic cars lie :metal: which leads pretty nicely into my other main interest, cars. I've been into cars since before I could read, and I pretty much know the in's and out's of how they work as well as being able to identify pretty much every make, model and (most of the time) year of any car 1975-present. You could call me a geek.
I was adopted at birth, which has somehow managed to be a major foothold for bullies. I've struggled with bullying my whole life to the point of some pretty severe depression and anxiety issues. I'm working through that though currently, as a lot of kids have seen my talents in music and started to respect me a little, and I've made some pretty good friends with some upperclassmen who I know have my back. :D
I live on a ranch with my parents and younger brother, with 3 horses, some rabbits, and 2 dogs.
Working out of some depression in the last few weeks after a pretty rough breakup, so currently single. That brings me to the main reason that I joined/started looking on this forum in the first place; the good ol' crush.
There's this girl, an exchange student, and she's really smart and funny and gorgeous, but we only have 1 class together. I really like to befriend and get to know someone before I even think about a relationship, but I just don't see her that often.
Advice?
P.S. Sorry for the wall of words... :whoops:
