We do not delete accounts. If you wish, we can delete your posts/threads. If you do not wish to return, then change your password to something you will not remember (or a keyboard smash).

I'm just curious then - how come some members are marked as "unregged" or "deactivated"?

An unregistered account is one that simply hasn't completed the registration process. I am not sure what a "deactivated" account is - I don't remember seeing any accounts which say that.

I remember my account was unregistered when i changed emails but hadn't clicked the completion link in the email account i switched to. i think maybe some ppl do that on purpose. change to a fake email account they can't activate and probably change the password to something random like jhfghwegfgfwe and not copy it, to keep from signing in ever again. I considered doing that once back in January when i thought being on forums was interfering with my homework. turns out i was just not able to keep up with mainstream curriculum no matter what.

The other thing you may see is users like the ones in this (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=786) threads, which are from times when they did allow such.

The gray face is the other one I assume you were meaning above, which just means awaiting email confirmation - be it when they register or when someone changes in.
