Does anyone else find friend hugs to be the most comforting thing ever?

When my friend hugs me they feel so like awesome and comforting like they're just awesome does anyone else feel the same way with hugs? Like they feel like they're just a way of your friends letting you know that they're there. I think I'm really weird for thinking this lol :lol::lol:

There's nothing weird about feeling that way last time i checked. Hugs are very important. I have autism and can get overwhelmed and upset easily. Being hugged helps me calm down a lot. There are even things called hug vests for people with autism who need the hugging feeling but don't want to be touched. There are only a few people that I will let hug me. My cousin hugs me best for soothing. and my friend is good at hugging me and cuddling me. I think i heard/read babies that aren't hugged can die from that.

Personally, I don't like friends hugging me, unless I know one or both of us really need it - but for me, it's because I have a touch phobia. I don't think it's abnormal, though - lots of my friends love giving hugs. It just depends on the person, I guess! :)

Hugs in general are probably the best thing in the world. Just the feeling of being comforted and loved is really great. :heart:

I feel this way too, I find hugs from family comforting, but it's certainly not the same as the feel you get when you hug a close friend.
