View Full Version : Did That Mean Something?

My friends (let's call them Jack and Anna) didn't know each other until the night of another friend's party. Anna loved all Jack's jokes he'd made throughout the night and before Jack left, she asked him for his number and he gave it to her. She then told him she would text him a lot all the time & laughed.

A few weeks later, I ended up asking Jack if Anna had texted him, and he said "Nope". It took me a minute to remind him of that night and I think I can honestly say that, up until I'd asked him, he'd completely forgotten about Anna.

Today was the 2nd "1st Day of School" for us (we're on block schedule) and Jack, Anna, and I had the last class together. Anna sat with some of her friends, while Jack and I sat together with our other friends.

When class ended, they noticed each other, said "Hi", and began talking. They ended up talking about the night of the party. Anna then noticed Jack's new phone and asked if his number was the same since he had the new phone, to which Jack had said it was. They then realized Anna hadn't texted Jack because she apparently had seen his name in her contacts and didn't know who he was.

They cleared that up and when the bell rung and Jack was leaving, he jokingly called out to Anna, "You'd better text me!". Anna's reaction was a laugh and a smile.

I was wondering, if that meant anything? Like it being a sign he likes her or something?

It could mean any number of things really. I mean, its quite possible he likes her, but I think it's too early to tell right now just from this.
