So... I have an ingrown toenail. Not a big surprise, considering that I have had 3 others before. But I really don't want to deal with having to go to the doctor's to have it removed...
So the question is, is there any way that I can remove it at home easily?

I'm sorry, but I don't think there is. I had my ingrown toenails operated on last year. It wasn't the most fun experience in the world, but I had been in pain for years and was getting infections frequently. It's much better now. It might be a pain to go to the doctor, but, in my opinion, it's worth it to just get it over with, so you don't have to deal with the pain and complications that ingrown toenails can cause.

I totally agree with this advice, and there is nothing you can really do at home unless you are a trained medical professional. Just see the doctor to get the issue resolved, and you might want to talk with your doctor to see if there are things you can do to prevent future ingrown toenails.

I know this might sound kind of odd, but many times getting a pedicure done, even if you're a guy, helps a lot to prevent ingrown toenails. Sometimes the way we cut our own nails leads to problems, and if you get a pedicure done every so often since you have a regular ingrown toenail problem can definitely help you out by ensuring that the nails are trimmed in a way to prevent another one from coming in and causing irritation.

I do not know if this would even impact ingrown toenails, but you might also want to make sure the type of shoes you're wearing are not causing you issues, too. You definitely would want to talk to your doctor or podiatrist to figure out if there is anything you can do at home to prevent this kind of problem from happening regularly.

I have to agree with ^ I've had ingrown toe nails and tried to remove them myself it ended up getting infected and I almost lost my toe. I think you are better off going to a foot doctor to get it taken care of.

I've done it before, lot of pain and effort and "tlc" i basically had to rip a portion out and made sure there was no infection, :/
