BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The Islamic State militant group that has seized large parts of Iraq and drawn the first American air strikes since the end of the occupation in 2011 has warned the United States it will attack Americans "in any place" if the raids hit its militants.
The video, which shows a photograph of an American who was beheaded during the U.S. occupation of Iraq and victims of snipers, featured a statement which said in English "we will drown all of you in blood".
U.S. airstrikes on Kurdish forces in northern Iraq have helped the fighters take back some territory captured by Islamic State militants, who have threatened to march on Baghdad.
The latest advance by the Islamic State, an al Qaeda offshoot, sent tens of thousands of members of the Yazidi ethnic minority and Christians fleeing for their lives and alarmed the Baghdad government and its Western allies.
Unlike al-Qaeda, Islamic State has so far focused on seizing land in Iraq and Syria for its self-proclaimed caliphate, not spectacular attacks on Western targets.
U.S. President Barack Obama said at a news conference on Monday that the Islamic State posed a threat to Iraq and the entire region.

If it's a war this ISIS Muslim Horde wants they picked the wrong country and it's a war they're going to get. As one of the world's largest unofficial militias fat chance drowning Americans in their own blood. The world needs to stop these terrorists before they kill and exterminate anyone else.

One bomb, they all gone. We will be ok, but the thousands of Christians killed and people of other religions killed is not acceptable. They should be wiped off the Earth immediately.

They said they want to take half of Spain and take mid-east Europe all the way to Vienna. Not on my watch, if they come to the Balkans, I'll volunteer. They can take their backwards ideology and go die in a fire. I wouldn't be really concerned either. They can't even maintain artillery.

I thought it was something about spreading the Caliphate from Spain to China? Overly ambitious either way. And impossible.
Yeah I'm not afraid of them. They're a threat to Iraq and the rest of the region, not us.

I heard stories about their " holy conquest " , maybe they would success in that , but there is big problem - Republic of Turkey , anyway , Turkey would smash that " Islamic State" for 30 minutes , so there is no need to Serbia activate their weak and stony - broke army for that , if there would be no Turkey and Serbian neighbors , IS would smash Serbia like some bug , so , dont think that Serbia is Russia or America , just if your prime minister Vučić bought some second hand airplanes from Russia , airplanes that Russians wanted to send to old iron xD ... So dont ignite , big challenge for Serbia would be one more war with Kosovo , not war with some crazy fanatics ...
Big problem in Iraq are tensions between Shia , Sunni muslims , that tensions are on height especially after Iraqi War .. Iraqi War was unnecessary war with great casualties , and bug money spend on both sides , so , Americans thought that Iraq has Weapon for mass destruction , so they attacked them , and on the end it was proven that Iraq doesnt have WMD .. Totally unnecessary war , that impact on whole Middle East situation , especially in Iraq between Shia and Sunni and Kurds ... So , after USA army left Iraq in 2011 , that situation escalated , because There were always tensions , but new " democratic " Iraqi regime was puppet to the West , and Iraqi people couldnt accept it , so it escalated .. Iraqi people really need some clever leader that will return old Iraqi fame , some patriot leader that is religious but not radical , leader from people not some rich bastard , leader that is Rightist , that is kind of leader that Iraq needs , not some Western puppet leader , I didnt say that that leader should declare war on West , no , I am always for cooperation with wholde world , including West , but leader that has national pride inside ...

And that and they want to take Muslim parts of Russia and the Balkans, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania and Austria.

Well, they can't even maintain artillery, while we have artillery, tanks and airforce. Also due to the invasion, they would reinstate the draft. But Turkey is a big problem and so is crossing into Europe en masse to pose a large enough threat. We could handle a wor on Kosovo if NATO kept their noses out.

If they come on American soil I will join the US Marines and be one of thousands putting a stop to them. ISIS also seeks to take Muslim populations in other lands across the globe. They are killing hundreds, I don't think they'll stop there.

I doubt they will ever be strong enough to go to war with America, or dumb enough either.

Yeah, they really don't pose a threat to America whatsoever. They might be able to pull off occasional terrorist attacks if they're lucky but an actual invasion? Conquering America? Nah. Our military budget could be reduced by 80% and we'd still have the strongest in the world.
They do pose a threat to neighboring countries, and their backwards Islamic fundamentalist ways and constant human rights violations are unfortunate, but we can't solve all the world's problems. And when we do try we usually just make things much worse. The best course of action is to withdraw all troops and let the regional powers at be handle their own problems. It's a shame religion is so intertwined in the conflict, it makes solving things much more difficult.

Not trying to sound too Team America on you guys, but let's be serious. ISIS has no chance of "drowning America in its own blood." A claim like that is about the same as me walking into a very fancy restaurant wearing nothing but a sweat stained tank top and dirty boxers, expecting to not et bad looks from people and getting good service too.
That doesn't change that they are indeed a threat to other countries and are indeed hurting people, so they need to be stopped. I'd prefer the US to not drop a shit load of bombs though. That's never too good.

They're kind of doing that to themselves already.
We could march in there on foot, leaving us stranded in another 10 year war, or we could sit on our asses, and ignore all of the crimes against humanity being committed over there. What's your plan?

Let the Iranians and Syrians march in - with continued Western air support because I accept that has already started.
