Don't know if this is the right fourm to post about this.
But yeah I was thinking about getting a wristwatch. What makes/brands/models are good for a guy? Who else has one? What is yours like?

Well , it depends in which use are you going to put it ... There are different wristwatches for different situation , but I would say - Festina , Police ,Royal London , Seiko , Rolex ... I have one Royal London , one Festina , one Vostok ( Russian military watch ) and some old Nazi German SS watch from my great grand father ... If you ask me , buy Festina ..

Well at least for me I prefer watches with black rubber wristbands, and a moderately sized display with hands, I'm not into digital display watches. I don't know why most guys prefer huge displays on their watches...

I needed a watch so I could do the entry exams for college. Doing a test unaware of the time ain't the same. My parents got me some (relatively) cheap X-games watch that was on sale. Pretty silly IMHO, but it works.

Analog watch. Digital watches aren't allowed during the tests, because some digital watch models have calculator functions bundled.

It also depends on how big your wrists are. I mean if you are a small guy, you shouldnt wear a Graham London for instance. However. They look pretty cool to me if you are the sporty type

Casio Edifice series is also a good alternative.
I have an EF-500D-1A
(and a HMT Janata vintage watch, for "fun")

I got one in the $100 price range that is a Casio analog watch. it is solar powered, so never have
to replace the battery. And it synchronizes to the "atomic" clock, so it never has to be set, takes
care of daylight saving time itself. It does a zillion things, but time and date and day of the week
are the only ones I ever use. This doesn't really relate to "fashion" - it's purely practical.

An Invicta problem. Lemme just casually show off my watch collection... :P
Damn! That's one collection of purdy watches though, specially the watch in the foreground. If I may ask, how much are those worth?

My collection (all Invicta) in name, size, and value ranges as so:
Name: Subaqua NOMA I Size: 47mm Retail Value: $470.00
Name: Pro Diver Ghost Size: 47mm Retail Value: $189.00
Name: Venom Size: 52mm Retail Value: $680.00 (in the foreground)
Name: Grand Diver Commemorative Etd. Size: 47mm Retail Value: $370.00
Name: Pro Diver Scuba Size: 48mm Retail Value: $250.00
The watches are all just different variations of different watches within each collection. The different models all vary in color, movement, functions, and quantity which vary the price. And they are expensive, yes, but ShopHQ all the time has sales and their 6-Value Pay system works wonders. But 1, 2, and 5 were all gifts. I only bought 3 and 4 myself, but with deals on ShopHQ.
