So I am trying to quit smoking. As of the time this post was made, I made it through 24 hours without a smoke. Any ideas on how to stop?
Also on a side note: I noticed I am eating a lot more when I am not smoking, is this normal?

Perhaps you should try to seek some help, and get yourself some gum to chew on and keep your mouth busy.

It's a very hard habit to break...congrats to you for taking the first step toward quitting. A good start would be to talk to your doctor to see what they can recommend.

My cousin is going through the same thing. I think willpower and nicotine bandages are the only things that can really help. Just try to pull through

Find a new hobby to replace the activity of smoking. Make sure to eliminate everything that may trigger you to smoke (cigarettes, lighters, etc.), even hanging around certain friends if they're a strong influence. Beating any kind of bad habit isn't an easy task, but overcoming the temptation will make you feel fucking awesome. Good luck to ya.

Yep, entirely normal. Nicotine can actually suppress the appetite of regular users. [* (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2367209/)]
