Well, hi everyone. This is my first post here, and will be a little thrown together.
I'll start off by explaining the topic title. I have dated people before, ya know, just a few months of being able to say 'I'm with this person! We're a thing!' and we may have liked each other, but it was more of a title for both of us. The guy I'm with now, he is the only guy I've had a serious connection with.
It's been seven months of happiness and pain and everything in between. Every second has been worth it to me.
But where is the point where you should just walk away?
We've had a lot of great times. I'm happy, mostly. Has anyone dated another person who just.. doesn't get where the line is?
The past few weeks have been really hard.. He's been talking to an ex girlfriend and I was okay with it at first. She was getting ready to go to treatment for drugs, and he seemed to just be giving her some friendly help, cheering her up.
I thought that was okay, right? Nothing going on.
He asked me to check his messages for him on Twitter, incase someone from XBOX had messaged him. It was wrong of me to check his messages with her, but I'm more then glad I did.
He had told me she was leaving tomorrow, which, yes, she is. But scrolling through them.. They were talking about sneaking out and seeing eachother and he had told me he was going with his brothers to see a movie, and I found out he was actually with a friend who took him to pick her up and hang out alone. They were flirting and she asked how our relationship was and he replied with 'iffy'. He hadn't voiced any concerns, nothing. I constantly try to do things he wants to do, I don't push him to go out and do things because I know he doesn't like too often. I don't complain when he wants to play XBOX all weekend when I'm there..
Where is the point where someone just.. Stops caring? Or they decide someone is better?
I just don't see what I did, I guess.. Any insight on this?
We're still together, yes, and trying to work it out.
He claims that he was just going to tell her to leave him alone but it seems too much like he's lying..
I know it's hard to ask someone elses opinion about what you should do but..
What do I do? What DID I do to deserve this?
Anything?
