So here you see Russell Brand. A comedian, actor, presenter, former drug addict, former sex addict, the sun newspaper's 'shagger off the year' and an emerging political activist.

In 2013 Brand talked about the current system we have in the UK, drug laws and the redistribution of wealth in an interview with Jeremy Paxman. (CLICK HERE TO SEE THE INTERVIEW) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YR4CseY9pk). Recently he has been talking about a revolution, the 'spiritual revolution'. He says this will definitely happen.

Personally I prefer the idea of an evolution over an revolution. I like the way he is talking and his ideas. At times I do think he is a bit of a dreamer but he is leading us in a good direction.

From what you already know of Brand and what you have seen in the video - what do you make of his ideas and his beliefs. :what:

He's a fucking idiot.

He complains about the political system, complains there isn't any change and then tells everyone they shouldn't bother voting...

Do you agree with his morals and ideas about equality, more representation for population and redistribution of wealth?

I agree with his general views, I just feel that he doesn't have a good way of putting them across

... Because he sees voting as a waste* of time that only exists to give a sense of legitimacy to whichever talking-head happens to be in power.

I actually don't believe he's too far off.

No, he raises issues e.g tuition fees, lack of representation and suggests the only way to stop the issue is to have a revolution. If you want to get young people/ethnic minorities involved into politics then you need to get them voting-that's the main reason why pensioners hold so much sway in society-they vote in numbers

From what I've read he's seeking more radical change than just subsidizing tuition fees.

I agree with the general notion though that there's not much difference between each countries major parties beyond their rhetoric which is really the point he's trying to get across here: all the major British parties, for example, offer the same neoliberal vision with more or less welfare added to the side.

If you want to get young people/ethnic minorities involved into politics then you need to get them voting-that's the main reason why pensioners hold so much sway in society-they vote in numbers
If by 'so much sway' you mean 'don't get their entitlements slashed to the same extent' then, yes, I agree that OAPs have a lot of sway.

I disagree with basically everything he says and does, and don't find his style of humor very funny either.

Everything he says? He is talking about left wing ideas that promote equality. He is talking about saving the planet. He is talking about the misrepresentation of unprivileged citizens that has to change. Would you disagree with that?
