This past weekend I was hearing a lot about Barrack Obama's preacher. This guy's a total maniac.

I was listening to the radio this morning and he says this, and I quote "Pearl Harbor was a lie! AIDS and HIV is a lie! The government is constructed on perfected lies to keep them from getting in trouble!"

I swear this guy is a total moron. Pearl Harbor didn't happen my ass. AIDS and HIV aren't real viruses? Ok then I guess the people that die at a young age and they were sick were just complete accidents:roll:

Another topic that has been pondering my mind is this: Should they make the word "nigger" illegal? I believe they should. It's a discriminating word and any type of racist slang should be outlawed.

So go ahead let's debate!

Well they should. Even though we do have freedom of speech I don't think the Founding Fathers had the means for it to be used for anything duragotory.

The founding fathers meant for it to be used for whatever people wanted to say, thats when the freedom matters when your saying things people don't want to hear

2) Nigger should not be made illegal, that goes against everything every free nation stands for. That is just a step towards fascism. We should be able to say what we want to, when we want to. Acting is a different story. Abuse is a different story. But just saying the word? I DONT THINK SO!

Nigger should not be made illegal. So if a black person calls another black person a nigger, is it racist? What if a black person calls a white person cracker, should the word cracker be illegal as well? I say it's just a word, it may be durogatory, but it's just a word.

As for Obama's preacher, I've never seen him so I can't say, but he sounds crazy.

Banning the word 'nigger' is absurd. This isn't the inquisition, ok? Should we ban all offensive words, then? That's ridiculous.

True. If nigger is outlawed, it would lose its meaning and people would simply find another word to replace it. People aren't stupid- if they want to say something, they'll figure out a way to do it. My 7-year-old cousin is smart enough to understand he'll get in trouble for saying 'damn' and it took my grandfather months to figure out every time he said 'diggity' it was his way of saying 'damn' without people knowing what he meant.

Banning words is just an irrational concept because people give words their meaning. You can ban 'nigger' but that's going to do nothing to stop the existence of racism or racial slurs.

Obama's preacher is the extreme version of what most of us take to be true, whether we say it aloud or not: The government lies to us, and has a historic bias against minorities. The preacher was just angry. In a way, Pearl Harbor was a lie; it has been proven that FDR had knowledge of the attack but did nothing to stop it. HIV and AIDS are real though.
