Hey people, so I'm gonna tell you why I started, I have never told anyone about this ever, so it's kinda big for me. So what happened was that when I was in the eighth grade, I overheard one of the other guys talking about porn, so being curious at the time, I decided to check it out. Long story short, I got addicted to it and got busted for it at the end of the ninth grade and again about three weeks ago. It was then when I taught that the only way to satisfy this addiction was to cut, so I did and have been doing it for the past three weeks. I really want to stop, but it's keeping me away from my previous problem, I have been to conceding for the other one, but I now need to get off of this addiction. Anyone who can help?

So, basically you're saying that cutting helps you avoid watching porn? Well, it's your own coping mechanism, but self-harming can be as addictive as watching porn, or even smoking, so maybe you should search for another way to get rid of your porn addiction. I'd suggest you should talk with a counsellor or psychologist about this, if possible, because you can't really get rid of an addiction by making yourself addicted to another thing that can be, in a certain way, more harmful than the first addiction you were trying to battle. Putting an anti-porn blocker on your browser would help, or just keep yourself distracted by listening to music or doing some other activity.

I suggest better to be an addict to porn than addict to self harm. at least when watching porn your not hurting anyone

you seem to have an addictive personality so you should try to get over your addiction(s) with things that are not addictive, like avoid smoking, alcohol, self harm, porn or other addictive things. try to socialize more and get your friends out because you cannot self harm or watch porn if you are out
