what is the thoughts on how long to be in a relationship before getting sexually involved?

There's no rules i suppose, for some people it's the day they start dating, for other it's 6 months later... i think the best time is when you're both ready.(didn't do anything yet too; im 18...)

There are no time frames for when you should start sexual activity, you should only start if your both comfortable doing so and both want to, it could be a week, or a year, I suspect your asking because your in this situation, just wait till you and your partner are happy with doing so, dont force it, and dont hold off, just do it when you feel comfortable

Wait for the girl to be ready. There's no set time. If you're only in the relationship for sex tho you don't deserve the girl. You should be in a relationship because you care for the girl's mind and soul, not to satiate ur sexual appetite. Bah!
If you really care for the girl however, in which case I respect and admire you:D ( yet still don't understand WHY you're asking this question), you'll wait as long as it takes for her to want to be 'sexually involved' as you so crassly put it even if it takes a year. Cosmic Noodle is right on that score

I partially agree with this. I say partially because you're right - it's whenever your comfortable. However, in my past experience, if your partner tries to get "down and dirty" really early in the relationship (regardless if you have sex or not), it could point to issues with motives and what they want out of the relationship and you might be in for a surprise.
But again, it's whenever both of you are most comfortable. Just don't be forceful and don't make the relationship all about sex.

Like those above me have said, the time is right when you both feel comfortable and ready enough together for that. For some people that can be either within hours, days, weeks, months or even years of the relationship starting. I will give you one piece of advice though. Never let the desperation or peer pressure of having sex be influential in your thought process of whether you are ready or not.
