Damn, there is a typo in the title.
I'm kind of nervous about starting 11th grade on September 3rd. I don't really have any friends in my classes. In lunch, I am planning on eating with my friends from life skills and best buddies. I am actually happy to have the lunch period that I have. I can actually look forward to lunch. Believe it or not, lunch was my least favorite class last year.
I didn't really do well, grade wise, the past two years. I want to try and improve. My English teacher from last year said that if I did my homework in her class, I could get A's. That actually made me happy. She said that I don't do the homework, but I still manage to get an A the tests. I am going to do my homework more. My best class is most certainly English. It could also be Algebra, but who knows? I actually love English class. I can do with having my favorite classes the first half of the day.
My biggest problem this year is definitely history. I find it difficult to focus on something I don't have an interest in. I will try to do better here. Fortunately, this history class is co-taught. I could get help from the other teacher in the room or in the resource class. Some people say that the history teacher I have this year is amazing. It's quite relieving, actually.
I really want to be more social this year. I have a group of friends, which I mentioned earlier, and one friend from eighth grade. I dread the words, "Get with a partner." I usually just get up and walk around (pretending to look for a partner) or stay seated pretending that I wasn't paying attention. It's embarrassing and weird, to say the least.
I've learned how much homework affects and balances out your grade. I have never realized until now. My goal this year is to get straight A's. I would love to achieve that. My two hardest subjects would be history and science (Even though, I got an A in physics last year).
11th Grade Schedule
Period 1: Visual Art 1 (MTWRF)
Period 2: English 11 (MTWRF)
Period 3: Algebra II (MTWRF)
Period 4: Resource (MTWRF)
Period 5: Lunch
Period 6: Chemistry (MTWRF)
Period 7: Chemistry (___R_), Study Hall (MTW_F)
Period 8: American Cultures II (MTWRF) ((10th grade class, year behind in history))
TL;DR: I'm sorry that was long. I'm just nervous because I have heard it is the hardest year. I also want to become less shy and more social. I want to make more friends in my classes.
Thanks for reading.

Honestly, Junior year was my favorite year so far (though I can tell I'm gonna love being a senior :P haha) As far as course difficulty is concerned, it's not that much different from 10th grade. It also breezed by rather quickly and was otherwise pretty chill. Then again, if you plan on doing the SAT or ACT (or both), then it might get a bit hectic. I didn't take the tests and I don't plan on it, so my schedule was pretty light.
As far as improvements is concerned, you can say that you will do better at studying and making friends, but it's all just words if you don't plan it out. What I did was make plans and SMART Goals (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMART_criteria) for myself. The goals combined with talking to my teachers helped significantly. Not saying that you aren't a bad student, but definitely make a plan to help you get work done.
And finally, socialization shouldn't be something that's pushed. When I was going into 11th grade, I had the same position as you - I wanted to be a lot more social and outgoing. I tried and a made a few "friends", but they eventually drifted away. But when I started to just be my quiet old self with all my good friends, I was a lot happier. So just take that with a grain of salt if you want to try to make new friends at school.

I just found out that I have a few acquaintances in my morning classes, as well. I wouldn't call them friends, but I want to get to know them more. The friends that I see in lunch aren't in any of my other classes. I feel that I am an outcast because I don't talk to many people. I do meet with a school therapist, who I don't like, but she does help me. I meet with her during lunch.
Thanks for the advice.

If grade 10 was okay for you, grade 11 should be easy. Don't worry about it. :)

ppl get more social and accepting during junior year. I too was a wallflower with social problems and spent all my lunches reading books. However, come junior year I made some rlly good friends so I think you've got a shot too. As for your subjects, homework will help I think. Good luck :)

I hope so. I found out who my real friends were.
I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

Don't get too worried and worked up about it. :)
I absolutely DREADED doing any sort of group-work. I used to be a super shy person, but last year I tried and actually kinda improved in that department. From the beginning, I'd suggest making an acquaintance in each class. For me, I found someone in each class that was kinda an awkward loner like myself and chit-chatted with them a bit about their other classes/teachers/how school was going so far... and when time came to pick partners, I was the one to ask if they wanted to work together and we stayed partners for the rest of the year, so the stress and awkwardness or working with random people was gone.
History always came pretty easy to me, since it interested me. It's a lot of reading and memorizing, what helps is looking up summaries/outlines for the specific time era you're learning about or the chapter in the book you're on. Do your homework, take notes and go over them, that's all I can really suggest. And take advantage of asking the teach for help, being co-taught sounds like a great plus!
Good luck!

It kind of sucked. I don't have classes with any friends, so it was boring, but the first day isn't bad, tomorrow will be worse

We only meet our teachers on the first day. You never actually do anything. I know what it's like to not have any friends in your classes. It sucks because you don't have anyone to work with. I hope you have a better day tomorrow.

Yeah same here. It's really annoying when you get into partners and stuff.
