Photo Help Please

I am getting a bit annoyed now that I can't update my profile picture and avatar picture. No matter what I do, it keeps saying my pictures are way too big, so when I lower the KB it still says it's way too big. Can someone please help me or tell me what I should do?! Thanks.

Hey Mikey, is the photo issue still being worked on? I tried to change my avatar and profile picture again and even when they are in range of kb, it still won't upload because the dimensions are too big.

I'm not sure if you are using a PC or a phone. But I had the same problem and since I used my phone, I downloaded an app called easy image editor and I resized my pictures in a matter of seconds. If you mostly use a PC, you can try to upload the photos from a smartphone with the app. It works for me

Even if it's fits the data size thing, you still have to resize it sometimes because the dimensions are too large. If you going on paint or something and just click resize, it'll resize the images without stretching it weird angles, it'll still keep the same ratio. That's normally what I do, I try to crop what is unnecessary then resize.

The downtime on Monday was actually to look into the photo issues. We're still aware of it, but we just don't have a solution as of right now.

So if it resizes it automatically now will it make the images look awkward or distorted?
Because I use my phone and I can resize but it's kinda buggy.

No... The don't look awkward or contorted. If they did I wouldn't really consider the issue to be resolved :P

Thumbnails now propagate for new uploads, and all old thumbnails have been rebuilt.
