Holding hands

Is it alright to hold a girl's hand on the first date at a movie or something? And also, when is the right time (as in you just asked her to go out with you a couple days ago) to start holding hands with her when you walk down the school hallways and stuff? How do you know if she wants to or not? And how would you approach this? I don't want to just randomly grab her hand or something... that would be awkward, especially if she doesn't want to.

Well, the first time you hold hands with her, it might be a good idea to sort of catch her eye and then stick your hand out for her to grab, so she doesn't feel forced if she doesn't want to hold your hand yet. A first date is fine for hand-holding, though I wouldn't go for it the moment you see her, give both of you some time to get used to the fact that you're on a date together, and then try. As for in the hallways, do the same thing you did for the first time. Offer her your hand and see if she takes it. Good luck!
