Ok, I have a question. What is the point of wearing condoms during oral sex? If you are both virgins and neither of your have clearly visible herpes, then what is the point? And what if the girl is on the receiving side, should she wear a female condom? To be clear, I come from a more conservative society, wher people are usually still virgins at age of 16 and aren't very promiscuous.

No point in using them. Idk where you heard it but yeah no point. Unless your husband or bf have some kind of sexual disease and you want to do oral and don't want to get to disease then yes I guess they would wear a condom.
If a girl is receiving idk if its sex or oral then I do not see a point unless they have a sexual disease :/

I agree, me and my boyfriend don't use condoms if we are giving each other blowjobs, we only use condoms if we don't feel like doing bareback

There are reasons for wearing condoms during oral, but I'm pretty sure most/all have to do with STDs.

i think the only reason to use a condom for oral would be for stds. When we use a condom its only to prevent pregnancy. Its kind of weird and pointless to to oral with a condom on i find

Guys, please; if you don't know your partner very well, use a condom for oral sex anyway. Protect yourselves. You can contract an STD from oral sex.

Never worn a condom while gettin a bj, but have had girls gag from it shooting down their throat. I guess wearing one could prevent that if you have a partner who is sensitive. I do love the feel of her mouth as she swallows my load though so that would be a bummer.

You can never be safe having unprotected sex, and yes, oral sex is still a type of sex. It's not just about visible herpes, herpes is a virus and you can't see it with the naked eye. There can be a very minute sore, or cuts that are not even near the infection site (the mouth) but still have the virus in the mouth. Cuts can also be inside the mouth, and everyone seems to be forgetting that you too could have an infection in your own genitalia and not know it, meaning that your partner is contracting it unknowingly. For example, HIV can be spread through oral sex, although the chance is very very low. But there still is a chance. Condoms are for everyones protection and it's your own choice whether or not to use them, but STIs are caught VERY easily.

This exactly. Better safe than sorry. I haven't used condoms for oral sex, but that's because I'm in a stable relationship and both myself and my boyfriend have been tested before.

Mostly for STDs, some people like the flavored condoms. Personally not a fan of them haha

Maybe the girl or boy, does not feel like making a direct contact between mouth and penis.

I don't use one for oral. It would be really gross sucking on the rubber really.

I dont really see the point especially if you are virgins. However if you are unsure if your partner is clean then I guess they could have a use

To protect yourself from STDs, but personally I think it makes it weird. I'd much rather not have a blowjob done, than have it in a condom

In whole my life , I , never ever heard for condom using during oral sex ... Anyway , as my father says : " Using condoms for sex is like washing your feet with socks on it " , so I can imagine oral sex with condoms , with one word - terrible ...

So long as you're both certain neither of you have an STD, there's no need to use one. I'd still recommend using one if you can't be 100% sure and/or if neither of you have been tested, just to be safe. Oftentimes, people will get an STD and not realize it until they've given it to others, so even if there's no sign of one, that doesn't mean neither of you have one.

This, plus flavored condoms taste good to the giver.

I've never heard of a point for wearing a condom for oral unless there's an STD. It's a tad different with intercourse though.

They can be helpful to a degree, if you are scared that they have an STD. I mean, people are in control of their own lives. So if they wish to use a condom for oral, good for them. But take into consideration also, sex is sex regardless. People are just as likely to get an std from oral as they are from intercourse. You run the risk either way you look at it.

It's handy if both of you haven't been tested or one has an std or something, otherwise, there is no need.

OMG I once got a flavored one as a gag valentines gift from my gf. She put it on and tried oral on me and said it was horrible. I took it off pretty quick. After I did taste it and it was disgusting - like a too sweet cherry flavored latex glove!
Maybe I had a cheap dollar store brand :) If you ever want to try it I bet you will go back to no condom for oral cause it feels much better.
