First off: Pantisocracy - n. 1. A Utopian community, in which all should rule equally, such as was devised by Coleridge, Lovell, and Southey, in their younger days.

Do you think a pantisocracy is possible in modern day society?

Me personally, I think its one of those things that could last ephemerally, but in the end it would probably fail. I think that society might be able to work like this, but eventually, there will be someone who is overly greedy, arrogant, ignorant, or all three, and problems could arise. I mean people naturally disagree with each other, and in a community in which everyone rules equally, there are sure to be arguments over what one can do with their "power" as a ruler (since everyone rules equally).. It would be interesting, and again might actually last a few days, maybe even a few weeks, but it would probably be impossible for a society like that to last over a month, unless they worked things out perfectly (such as used some futuristic machine to rid them of all emotion..)

No its not possible at all. Like communism, which would be ideal, cannot work because leaders are or become corrupt

It would never work. There are always power hungry people, so all wouldn't rule equally. There are also people who are timid, who wouldn't want to share equally in that fore mentioned ruling.

I fail to see how a Pantisocracy differs from communistic anarchy. not that there is anything wrong with that.
