Ok well im 13 and 4'11, and my bros 10 and is 4'11, is something wrong with me or something? I feel SOOOO EMBARRESED around friends. Anyways i was like 2 weeks early. My bro was like 5 pounds over average (11 pounds) or something, so do you think thats why? Cause im wondering if either my brother is just that tall cause he was over average, or if im just short cause i was early when i was born.
What I just said mightve been confusing, but i hope you can help me lol
(P.S My question was, why is my brother my same height when hes 3 years younger than me...)

well it's all genetics. Nothing to worry about. In the coming years you will become taller than him.
So nothing to worry about, and this is normal

i think its a myth but it depends on who you take after.... if your mom is short and dad is tall u may be tall, short, or average... just the same 4 ur bro

Well, my dad says he thinks I'll be taller than my brother (he's 23 and 5'9", I'm 14 and 5'4", but when my bro was 14 he was only like 5'2 1/2"). Your brother could end up being taller than you, but most likely you will be taller than him. You really never know. In my case it could also be the fact that my brother is actually my half-brother (we have the same dad but different moms). But I do know a guy at my school who's in my grade and is about 4" taller than his brother that is two years older than him.

don't stress ... your bro might get taller than you but it doesnt make you any less of a person. he might just be going through puberty earlier than you and getting taller earlier, it just depends on how tall you both are when you both stop growing.

My bday's in July too!! lol
No it shouldn't have anyhting to do with it. As they've said before, it's all genes, you won't know until your an adult so there's no need for panic. I was quite small when i was younger but now i'm taller than most of my friends. P.S Your brother could of started puberty before you, is that why? Just a thought

Not at all. Height in siblings differs. So no it's not the reason why he's bigger

no I don't think that is the reason either. Different people will do through the puberty growth spurt at different times, and this is normal.
Hopefully I've answered all your questions

The date of your birth has nothing to do with your height, BUT, if you were say, BORN PREMATURELY, it COULD have to do with your height. But it is not necessarily the main reason you seem so "short".

yeah i was born like 2 weeks early but it doesnt like automatically make you short does it? lol, like cause one of our friends parents was born like 4 weeks early and ended up like 6'1. So idk, (I mean like if your born prematurely, are you gonna be shorter?)

Umm...No! I have never heard any thing that links premies and their height. Although there have been studies that the premie girls grow taller than boys all of them are still average height.
