So as most of you know, I'm a die-hard member of my drum and bugle corps, which requires significant mental and physical effort. Both have gotten the better of me this weekend and I'm so tired in both aspects that I seriously can barely keep my eyes open.

Anywho, this weekend was particularly tough and when we got out of rehearsal I just hurt all over so freaking much. I took a long hot bath which felt great! Until I got out, that is. My knees and back and arms and legs and pretty much everything is still REALLY sore and moving is such a chore lol. I'm fine when I'm sitting/standing still  And I mean it's not like this is my first time coping with post-camp pain but I was wondering if any of you cool cats out there know any way to help soothe the soreness.

Anybody?

Take another bath with some Epsom salt in the water, that can help soothe the ache a bit. Other than that, just take some ibuprofin and get some rest. What may also help, is rubbing the sore areas. Rub towards the heart, this encourages the lactic acid (the stuff your muscles produce when they are fatigued, and what is now sitting in your muscles causing the pain) to stop sitting there and get reabsorbed or whatever.

I hope you feel better, Val!

I hope you feel better too! :D

And yes, Jessi is right, massage all the way!! haha! :D

You need a massage slave, preferably hot, male and ready to obey orders?
LOL! :lol3:

Or more realistically (but not quite so much fun) like Jessi said, the ibuprofen should help ease the pain as well as any inflammation. You can actually take ibuprofen and paracetamol at the same time if you need (I dont know if those are what you call them over there, maybe motrin and tylenol?)

Anyway, feel better soon Val!
