During puberty you tend not to put on weight as fat as your body is using everything up from the food to help you grow.

Another result of this means that teens do tend to be very muscular despite what they eat because your using up more energy than you take in, thus building up muscles.

(Hope that made sense, it sounded better in my head!)

I guess it's heritage. I inherited my mothers' slow digesting so i have to exersize and "diet" most of the time just not to become obese. my stomach is relatively flat at the moment, so yeah... can we swap internal organs? :P

Couldn't have said it better myself, Jam98 was spot on.

But times and weights do change.......I too was stick skinny the whole life until puberty messed me up. I had a great skinny body with 6 packs, skinny limbs & looked very sporty... until hitting 16 then I started to fill out and my abs and features are getting softer...now I got a small tummy roll and 2 little mboobs too....my small beak like face has filled out to become a baby face.....
Cos I was not sporty I cannot find the energy or fitness to start working out...RIght now I cannot run even 200 meters withotu getting out of breath and can do only 5 crunches.....So I am fighting a losing battle against weight. I wont be surpised to end up fat by mid 20s.

Are you active that's maybe why you are skinny even though you eat a lot or you might have a fast metabolism. By the way being skinny and having abs are not appealing says many girls they say its like girls being fat and having big boobs

A lot of people actually put on weight as fat, rather than lose it. An example of this is the temporary gynecomastia (or 'moobs') in males, as fat deposits in the chest area. I think in the OP's case it may have been more of a genetic reason rather than puberty alone.

Huh that's interesting. You actually will only bulk up when you are eating a calorie surplus. That's atleast regarding areas with muscle mass potential (back, arms, legs etc.) However, with your abs, if you burn fat (which you do during puberty) then you will be able to build muscle there. So that probably explains it.

I would guess a high metabolism... dont rely on it for the rest of your life though, keep balances between eating right and exercise honestly.

Although what you eat affects your body health, a lot of it comes from genes. For example, one could be overweight but still be eating healthy.

You just described my body to a tee. It's just a body type. Some people have natural muscle tone. I eat a lot of junk too and don't really work out. But when i flex, I have lots of muscle definition. I've described myself as a muscular stick. tbh have been told i got checked out a lot in the locker room at school.

Everything I eat is used for my growth. I eat much, but I do not grow fat.

I don't think it's entirely related to your diet, I think it's just because you're skinny, so there's no fat layer covering the muscles.

You just have a very fast metabolism. As for the muscle you may just be skinny enough that you don't exercise but since you're so skinny it shows your abs. Everyone has abs but some more defined than others obvs lol but since everyone has abs and your skinny then your abs will tend to show more than someone who isn't skinny but like normal. Unless you do some type of running or exercise then its because of that

Well I am skinny and eat a lot of junkfood and nothing happens. That's because I have a High Metabolism, and you having abs is only because you're skinny. Everyone has abs, but belly fat usually covers them unless you work out. If you have them and don't work out, it means you dont happen to have abdominal fat and you can see them

Without knowing for sure, I think being short and skinny while eating a lot is totally because of a fast metabolism. I remember a line from a movie when a small skinny teen was asked why he was so small when all he eats so much, and he said "it my metabolism. If eat three times a day, my metabolism eats five."
