We've known each other for over a year, and this summer I really started to "go out" with her. She has very traditional Chinese parents, (I'm white by the way), and today when I picked her up to go to the movies, her dad was standing in the driveway watching. It wasn't a big deal but when I got home she texted me that her parents don't want her hanging out with me anymore. They said I don't look like a good person. I know her parents are a bit racist because they found out her college roommate was going to be black, so they made her find someone Chinese. She said she tried telling them I get good grades and I'm going to study Computer Science in college, and my parents are teachers. I'm not sure what to do, because I really care about her. She also said that she's crying now because of it. She's going to college an hour away, and said she wants to keep in touch through social media so her parents won't know. She doesn't have a car, but will be home for breaks. Is there any way her parents could see I really care about her, and maybe allow me to date her in the future? I know we're young, but she's different from any girl I have ever gotten close to.

Sometimes when you're young, Asian parents don't let you be in relationships and stuff.

Don't flame on me, I'm not generalising, but a lot do, I have Asian parents because (woah, what?) I'm Asian and they don't want me to go out with anyone until I've graduated from high school.

You can either wait it out, or trying talking to her parents. There really isn't much to do, because her parents probably just want her to do really well in college and not have distractions (like relationships)

Sorry I couldn't be much help.
